Caroline Aycock

Owner & Interior Designer

Caroline has been studying the art of interiors since she was a little girl. At the age of four, she would steal her mother’s coveted copies of Southern Living & Architectural Digest, only to rip out the pages and piece together her very own design book. Moving around a lot as a kid, Caroline always found that no matter where she lived, the feeling she got from being at home remained the same. Collected, welcoming, warm, comfortable, interesting. This gave her the confidence that she could create ‘home’ wherever she goes and the desire to do the same for others.

Caroline is a mother of two little boys and a Houston native, (although she left her heart in San Francisco). Her personal style is a blend of old and new, and has never quite fit into one perfect style box.

Elizabeth Baron

Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Koukla Collective, Elizabeth is one of the rare breeds that marries both the left and right side of her brain beautifully, merging creative problem solving and efficiency.

Elizabeth hails her roots from the vibrant city of New Orleans and has an extensive background in the design industry. She is an asset in every sense of the word, both in her ability to service client projects of all shapes and sizes, and infuse unexpected elements of color and pattern into each space. When she’s not designing alongside Caroline, she is likely giving new life to old furniture, tending to her garden, or making art with her 6-year old daughter. Oh, & Boston Terriers, she loves everything Bostie!

Mary Pullen

The Mama Muse

Although not involved in the day-to-day, Mary provided the foundation for Koukla to be built upon and helped breath Caroline’s dream into existence. Previously, Mary owned and operated her own successful home staging business Redeux in Austin, TX. It was through the business that Mary built, that Koukla was born. It was her way of passing down her little entrepreneurial legacy to her daughter, Caroline. She is a testament to the power of motherly love and encouragement.

Mary is a mother of two daughters, and a beloved grandmother to five(!) little boys. When she’s not chasing them around, she can be found volunteering her time at Houston’s renowned resale shop, The Guild or rearranging her own furniture. Even after all these years, her house still makes Caroline feel right at home.
